    Default Changing city names

No, this thread is not about asking how to change city names - if I wanted to know that, I would have posted in the mod threads. So, I have been playing my Kingdoms expansion pack, with the Americas campaign as New Spain. When I conquer cities, I notice that some of them change names. Not only when I conquer them, but when the French conquer them as well. Example: Louisiana now exists, Fort Caroline as well, along with several other Spanish city names that I cannot remember. However, all had native sounding names before.

Does anyone have a list of what cities change names to what, and if it differs from faction to faction (like if the English capture a city it will be called an English name, the Spanish a Spanish name and so on)?
Under the patronage of Rhah and brother of eventhorizen.

Has anyone tested if their renaming *back* when natives retake it works OK? I get a hunch it doesn't, since there's some reported 'hangs', could be related.

    yea, it's a neat addition.

would be cool if you were able to rename cities in general tho on the campaign screen.

I think you can (at least I did that to Constantinople in Crusades, changed it to Byzantium) just click the city so the building browser comes up, double click the settlement name on the scroll and you should see a cursor. Hit back backspace or delete and the letters should delete, then just type in the name you want to rename the city.

This is cool. I would love this in all campaigns, but it would be a load of work to write all those scripts for every settlement.

Minister for Home Affairs of the Commonwealth v Zentai [2012] HCA 28 per Heydon J at [75]

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.

I had the feeling that certain settlements had changed names. Now I know my eyes haven't been deceiving me
