Default More than one hero per faction?

ok i was going to finish my very first campaign in Kindoms(Byzantine one), and i notice that some faction have or may have more than one hero:

Turks r supposed to have Nur-al-Din but late in the game comes Othman with a stack of late Turkish Units(Janissary mostly).

Egypt is supposed to have Salah-al-Din, later in the game comes Baybars(never really seen him on the battlefield, i do not have conquered Egypt yet, i just hold Alexandria and have good relations with them).

Can someone clarify this or post a link with the list of all heroes in the game?
    thanks in advance

I would also like to know this. It seems like some units who should be heroes aren't, like Hernan Cortez or Edward after he comes back from the crusades if you choose to send him.

hmm looks like they r just historical characters with no special ability.

but why advertising their come to opponent factions if they have nothing special?(in the game obviously)

Not sure about Baybars, but I think Othman was in vanilla M2TW already, so that would make them precursors to the 'real' kingdom heros - legacy semi-heros with maybe even an event to them, but no 'real' heros with the new abilities.
