Default Did I do something wrong? (Unpacker/Unit.text) questions

Hi all, I was wanting to increase the rate of fire and add more bang for the bug or (Body piercing) instead of Armour Piercing to my Musketeers New World campaighn.

    Anywho

I unpacked- Not sure How to do this, I just clicked on the unpack_americas batch file in the Tools folder and hiy y, y, y

    Okay stuff unpacked

I go to Mods/americas/data/export_descr_unit txt. - Heres where I think I screwed up. I changed attack on Musketeers to 20 (heh), anyway when I hit "save" it gives me an error message saying that a previous ex..._unit file already exist. But it wont give me the option to save over or move. I had to manually delete the folder for me to put the "modded" txt file in.

I go to play the game and everything is perfect until I go into a battle, whether a custom, imperial, or save battle it will always crash. Learned the hard way and had to install the WHOLE thing again so now I am here askin for help before touching again. Thanks in advance!

You haven't read the unpacker readme is why your getting the battle crashes:

    - NOTE: Due to a timestamp check, the following unpacked files will
cause the game to crash and must be deleted before the game is
    launched:

    data\descr_geography_new.txt
    data\descr_geography_new.db

Goo! That was easy lol. I thought that read me was all disclaimer crap.

I tested a quick custom battle and it worked (the game i mean). But my modded file did not. I just got done reading the "Read Me" to the unpacker for any soluions to this and all I saw was to make a batch file of the game. Does this apply to me and my teeny tiny edit? How do I make a batch file if I have to?

Hopefully this will be this noobs last question on this. Thank you soooo much for your very quick reply btw.

Any changes to the game will only show up if you run the game using the file first command, or using the mod switch setup. I would recommend reading the TWC Wiki for basic modding tutorials that will teach you how to do that.
