Hi all. Just wondering is it possible to put limits on how many of a particular unit a faction can recruit (like the limit on agent recruitment)? Thanks in advance

No i dont think it is posible for units. It is possible for agents
there is a agent_limit that can be used for agents only.
I saw that in kingdoms they limit some special units. Probably they introduced some similar limitations for units as well.
You should look into the export_buildings file. Maybe you find something interesting.
Hmmm...are there any more unique units than the Knight order Marshalls?

Yes they are. If you play Crussades with Antioch there are 2 unique units!
Thanks I'll check them out also. Cant for the life of me work out how they've been made to be unique though
edit: just found out where. It's in the campaign script![]()

In order to get round being unable to limit troop levels I use really long replenishment rates on the recruitment
for example
recruit_pool "New World Bodyguard" 1 0.05 1 1 requires factions { hre, portugal, }
so u can only recruit one unit per settlement every 20 years
hope this helps

Yeah I've been looking through the Crusades campaign script and I understand how it makes the unique units unique...except that it doesn't work. I dont think CA tested it very well. Every now and again you get two of the unique units in the recruit pool, and you can build both. Plus the AI apparently can recruit them at will.
