The more accurate question would be, when did you start using the auto resolve function as your main way of fighting?

When I first began playing I used it. Strange eh? Usually its the other way around. I just got really into the fighting. Also reading books about Pompey, Caesar, Scipio inspired me to take the battles for real. The only time ill use it is if its a 100% given that I would win...
I am a seige attack auto resolver i find them so boring. I sometimes do the early ones but when i have to scale walls and walk around a stupid maze of a town to get to the centre i just cba...
I fight all my battle myself. Autoresolve cost you more soldiers while the AI loses less. Often the enemy army will retreat suffer losses, but retreat, so you have to fight them again.
i only ever use it during seige attacks if the odds are greatly on my side. I try and fight all my field battles on the map, but sometimes i cant summon up the effort.
I always fight all the battles.
I have never used auto-resolve as my main way to do battles. How the **** can you have fun like that? The only times I do auto-resolve:
1. When my computer is going extremely slow and I can't play out the battle without extreme lag.
2. If I know I will lose (one unit vs 10. Now, two vs 10 I may have a chance...)
3. Sometimes against Rebels, but if I'm training one of my generals, I'll fight them out.
4. If I'm suicide-attacking with a few mercs. I got some Generals from battles like this.
However, I probably only auto-resolve 1/10 of my battles. Auto-resolve is so ****ing boring.
I fight my own battles, never use the auto win cheat, never auto resolve (except naval battles of course).
Same as that, the only time i ever auto resolve is if the odds are so stacked in my favour that its pointless to fight.
On the other hand i love it when im heavily outnumbered and then see just how many casualties i can inflict before the reaper descends.(when the option to retreat has gone)
A little maiming never hurt anybody
I auto resolve sometimes when I'm not in the mood for fighting them.

I used it when I first play...but now...I try to do all battles myself, except for when it's like one of those stupid battles like you have hundreds of guys and the enemy has barely any.
I auto resolve only when I'm enormously outnumbered when defending a siege. I often autoresolve if I have to attack an enemy settlement, but often I don't attack it, only wait them out.
