Differences and compatibility between language versions

Hi,

I'm playing the german language version of MTW2 and I'm somewhat unhappy with it. Some people told me that the german version is less bloody in the battles and that the generals pre-battle speeches are much longer in the english version.
At least this aspect I suspected already myself, becaus the speeches in "Rome - Total War" were much longer. In the german MTW2 the general says often only one or two sentences. It's very rare that he says more.

Can anyone tell me how many sentences (approximately) generals say in the english version ?
I guess it's hard to say anything about brutality and bloodiness in the english version without knowing other versions. But I would be glad if anyone could tell me about this, too.

I'm thinking about buying the english version in addition (though I have the german collector's edition and will only get the english standard version).

Does anyone know about savegame compatibility between language versions ?

No check my sig.

It clearly reads yes in the english version theres a bit more then 2 sentences. However I usually don't hang around to listen to them.

I have ordered now the english version, but it hasn't arrived yet.
I still wonder whether my old save games from the german version will work with the english version.

I uploaded another savegame on my own webspace (2,7 MB). I would be very grateful if someone could check if it works with the english MTW2
