Do the Welsh have a Hero

...Hello!

King Edward is around, so is William Wallace, and the whole mafia from Norway---now where the hell is my Welsh savior?

Is there anything special about my faction, I'm pretty much rounding up my campaign at the doors of Scotland/New Norway and on my way to Ireland too, now can anyone tell me what's cool about Wales...

The first 30 turns was an absolute bloodbath, I honestly thought my campaign would be over before turn 10 because in every battle my generals would die. And they still do. But lucky me I married off all my noble women quickly and babies were soon born, yipee.

But my generals still die. I sent 5 of them into battle and they all perished. Another 6 after them.

However, even if I had a hero, he was probably already fried in battle.

your king is a hero. that first guy u start out with is your special hero dude. he is the dude in ur avatar...

ya, wales usually gets pretty beat up in the begging, but i still havnt lost a general... lol, in fact, i now have over 23 generals!!! and another 15 children!!! its crazy!!! my family is prolific!

About this hero thing, it reminds me my recent New Spain campaign. I used Crote to siege a rebel down, and in the final slaughter against the remain Native Americans on the town square, he was cut down!!! The even more funny thing was he was the only two guys in his unit died, and even more strange he was in the middle of his bodyguard when he fell...

Jeez as the Apaches I was down to 1 family member at one point, luckily the dead guys had heaps of sex before they went so kids were on the way. That last guy was the most protected guy in America, lol.

haha, yeah, I had that, except he went and died of old age :/

Would have been alright if his son hadn't gone and rebelled along with the 3/4 stack that was en-route to Camp Commanche...

Luckily I had a save a few turns back

I'm still wondering who the hero is for the Irish as well.

Funny thing, the king i started the game with died in the battle that took the last stronghold of the english in Ireland.

Sometimes this game is so cool it makes me cry!

I have the game on Hard difficulty but still I am trouncing the opposition. William Wallace came for the scots and did nothing. Edward came back for the english and did nothing. The english split their last army in ireland in two and then separated again leaving their last general in the country on his own. Sometimes the AI leaves a lot to be desired.

Yap, the English in Ireland actually decided to retreat to a fort instead a castle, which is just besides the fort. They left the castle empty for three turns which I took the oppoturnity to occupy it without problem.

As far as I can tell there are no hero abilities outside the Crusade campaign? I have yet to unpack the files but has anyone tried to add abilities to named characters outside that campaign?
