    Default Dethy Mafia (concluded)

I think it's best to reveal how the game is played, or it might not turn out right. One of you, is scum, you must find out who. Nothing special there. But, all the others are cops. If you didn't find out before how it works, then there is still a surprise for you.

Ichigo isn't sending me a PM. I don't know if I should have let him in anyway, he's not very active. We start without him. He has around 24 hours to show up, if not, I'll find a replacement.

Day dawns in Mafiatown, 5 policemen go to work at the Police department as usual, fighting the mob. Evidence suggests however, that one of them is actually a mafia infiltrator! Let the slaughter begin, Day 1 has started.

As this is the second time I've ever played Mafia, and with totally new rules, you'll be ok if I ask a few questions. So, what's going on? We're all policemen? What do we do to find a mafia? How many mafia is there?

Your all police officers at a police department in Mafiatown, it turns out one of you is a mafia infiltrator. You do what you usually do to find mafia, and investigate someone during the night.

Sorry, I offered the spot to Ferrets already

I can be Ichigo's replacement... (PLEEASE!)

I suspect Jubal is a mobster. He's obviously experienced enough for Estlander to make him one.

Meh, I guess I shouldn't start with the accusations already. But we must go on with the game.

Yes, hello all. Pally, sorry to lynch you in Milan! Jesus, though, you were acting wierd. I guess I'll have to change my tactics on spotting scum.

I think everyone should post once introducing themselves. We can go from there

Paladin is slightly suspicious at this moment for me-frivolous and baseless evidence against Jubal.

I'm not suspicious without 'baseless evidence', Pra. In case you don't know, we can't have evidence already in the first round, so all we say is 'baseless'.

Yes, but that still makes it all convenient for Mafiosos to hide their suspicion by starting a lynch on someone who they know isn't a mafioso.

Anyway, it is baseless but we have little to go on.

Like Shyam Popat's suspicion of someone with suspicion is classic mafioso behaviour.

That said, we should go through everyone having posted at least once.

But your reason, or any reason any of us can come up with on the first round, can't be better than mine; we can only be suspicious. I can suspect Estlander might have chosen Jubal because he's experienced, can't I?

    Hello.

The correct play in Dethy (and pretty much ONLY in Dethy) is to no lynch d1, and d2. That way we get the night's investigations to work out who is lying.

There is (sorry esty, but town need the info)
    1 scum
1 cop who gets correct results
1 cop who gets incorrect results (so town turn up scum and vice versa)
1 cop who always gets innocent
1 cop who always gets guilty

The cops don't know their sanity, and it's not revealed on their death.

So the objective is to work out from the results who is scum. 1 mislynch after n1 and we lose (mislynch today and we get 1 more chance but with only one night of info). We have such a small town that we need maximum cop results to get a chance at the win.

So the best play is normally to get maximum investigations by nolynching twice.

I thought it might be a more interesting game if the townies discovered out that there are faulty cops. But I guess it would have made the game too difficult.

Yeah but I sort of understood your adjectives in the suggestions thread. 'Paranoid' is clearly the one who always gets guilty and 'naive' is the one who always gets innocent. I'm probably naive.

I don't understand what you're talking about. So, what does 'ignorant' get?

    Don't remember using that.
    Paranoid - Always guilty
    Naive- Always innocent
    Insane- Always wrong

That's the way it should be, I think.

Ichigo never showed up for work at the police department that morning, and now a replacement has been called. Officer Mimirswell, has come to do the job.

Does anyone have anything to add, or shall we go straight for a No Lynch?
