Unspecified errors... again!

I've probably reinstalled m2tw atleast 10 times. reinstalled, repatched, but whenever I go to a battle, there's atleast a 90% chance an unspecified error happens! My tolerance is running thin. I have Lands to Conquer 3.1 with realcombat.

im experiencing the same problem with kingdoms. seems to be a botched patch with 1.3

Cannot concur running it on a clean unmodded system (totally fresh install, even). Only CTD's are errors at end-turn in one campaign, so far (Americas). All battles I've tried so far went spotless, I just *really* have to get used to commanding 2 armies, the controls are not extensive.
