    Default Patch 1.3?

    I remembre Lusted saying there's going to be a compatibility patch to enable Kingdoms and No Kingdoms to play together. Has there been any news of this patch?

    Edit:
    I hosted it.

    This is the version from 1.2 to 1.3. All the others go from 1.0 to 1.3.

    I don't know why CA didn't release patch 1.3 to the net... it's on the Kingdoms CD. Should be fully redistributable.

    What? That isn't very fair. I mean hats of to CA for making the patch, they didn't have to. But I won't be buying a patch.

    It doesn't fix much. All the bugs I was noticing with 1.02 are still there. Need a 1.05/1.06 to really get the bugs out, I think.

    i have to dissagree. i have the expansion pack and i have to say im VERY impressed. it fixes battles and the AI OWNS NOW!!! i actually got flanked and brutally raped a total of 3 times because they would pin my men, then flank me, id counter flank, then they come from a new direction, and i would be fresh outta men to send to halt them.

    lol, for the first few battles i was actually scrambling to learn all the new tricks. now that i know them, its still a bit tricky as the AI uses cavalry and archers SOOOO well that they actually challenge u.

    also, archers are actually effective now!!! i (as wales) OWNED an army 4 times my size, and full of armoured men, using only 2 units of spearmen, and alot of my kick ass longbowmen. lol, the field was strewn with men at the end, and i walked away victorious. of course the Engish learned my tricks, and started bringing cav up to use against my archers, and flank me... lol, now i must learn a new trick...

    Yeah, there's one in my town. It gets very crowded though. It operates on a first cum, first served basis.

    Can someone please distribute/host the 1.3 patch on the internet?

    We're playing a hosteat campaign @ miydai and many of us don't have kingdoms yet. When we load a 1.3 savegame it just throws you back into the menu.

    If you get Kingdoms, there is a mod to play the M2TW game with kingdoms features. It also improves the AI

    Must have a completely different Kingdoms to me Exodus because those guys still keep running the WRONG way.

    lol, sucks for u. My guys are insanely well organized, and keep formation even under a hail of cannon fire!

    and im talking about Kingdoms.

    in my honest opinion, the AI still isnt PERFECT, or even awesome, but its ALOT better than what vanilla has to offer.

    AI still sucks at defending castles tho... badly... they can take em like crazy tho! ****, they kicked my ass the first time i defended a fort... they did things i never knew the AI had the brains to do!

    I know. The "Retrofit Mod". I was just wondering whether the patch fixes the original game. I already knew Kingdoms apparently has numerous fixes to the game in general. I was just wondering if these were carried over to the original.

    I'm taking this as that it doesn't?

    it should transfer them to M2TW. if it doesn't then. well... what a waste of 5 months.

    1.3 has no fixes, it just makes both games compatible for multiplayer

    however, the retrofit mod improves the vanilla M2TW AI(but you need kingdoms)

    the only changes I have noticed are that the campaign AI is reasonable now...the english have seen that I was superior to them and accepted a ceasefire, an alliance, me getting all their possessions in ireland and map information without demanding anything from me and then they just got 3 fleets to my shore to get their 3 full stack armies from ireland to england...after that they didn't even block a port or whatever...they have been really loyal to me and even attacked norway when they started blocking my ports.

    The only changes in the v1.3 patch are

    Core Medieval II settlement data updated to function correctly with Medieval II: Kingdoms.
    Fixes some instances of floating settlements in Medieval II: TW and Medieval II: Kingdoms.
    Updates version number to 1.3

    Nothing major. Any other changes must be part of Kingdoms itself.
