Unit stamina and rate of recovery??

anyone know how to increase these?
i mean, this game hasn't really counted the adrenaline, which - in a battle - should have a huge effect, especially if you're winning.
and they recover too slowly. when i sprint i just need 2-3 minutes to almost fully recover.
sure i don't wear loads of armor and other equipment, but i doubt my stamina is as good as theirs....

I think the stamina also affect lighly wounded men who need to get patched up.
