    The Two Empires

Yay, my fellow germans don't disappoint me. They conquer their first seleucid city, Arbela. Some worthy enemies for TSE, unlike the lazy carthaginians who just wait to get killed ...

Yay, second town conquered Slaughter the seleucid pigs from the inside

Northern German Empire is now strong enough to defend itself, I don't intend to connect them, two is better than one
I'm asking myself if I shouldn't call them Holy Roman Empire ... but that would be weird since real Romans aren't dead yet nor Christianity has been founded

Romans are still there ... most of TSE armies are around the Hellespont.

TSE is now sending more troops into the East, but EGE (Eastern German Empire) is holding out nicely. They lost Arbela though, but still have more than enough stacks to defend their territory, when lucky even enough to expand a bit more. I don't think I need to help them anymore

As long as I continue my raiding in Greece and Asia Minor, Germania and Rome should be able to slowly beat TSE.

You may not want to connect the germans, but they might do that for you. There's only one territory gaps between the armies in the North.

TSE got some stacks up there, so I don't think that will happen soon.

Maybe I was a bit unclear, but TSE isn't beaten yet. Rome, NGE and EGE can only defend their cities because I tie up enough seleucid stacks in Asia Minor and Greece. If they would send them to the front, it wouldn't look so good. So I still need to raid a bit more, until TSE is weak enough and the others strong enough

You buggers! A stab in the back! Those spoiled ungrateful Krauts wanna mess with their patron. Looks like it's time to abandon my eastern colonies and let them fight their war in the east on their own

After abandoning my eastern colonies, germans are tame again.

:hmmm: 200 years of Total War, if that's no bloodshed ...
They really need to implement a statistic in ETW. How many soldiers died, how many civilians, how many I killed, how many I lost and the same for the AI faction ...
I would really like to know how many people lost their life in this campaign

I totally agree with you. I once tried to do this myself but it takes a lot of time and gets boring. Automatic feature would be nice.

Hmmmm. This has been an eye opener, definitely something needs to be done about the Romans only recruiting Auxilia, can you get some screenshots of their armies if its not too much trouble? It will be simple to fix, slightly higher cost and upkeep should do the trick.

No, that would be the completely wrong way. Their upkeep and cost is good, the problem is that they can't recruit anything else in most of their cities. The AI has to recruit auxilia in most cities because of the Legion AOR. Raising upkeep of auxilia won't help the AI, it will just make it weaker. The AI is stupid and will recruit units everywhere, no matter if they are crap compared to units it can recruit in the next city.

I will get you some screens in the next update.

Edit: I only see two solutions: Either scrap the Legion AOR-system, which would be a bad idea. Or make the auxilia stronger (somewhere between Hastati and Principes), a bit more upkeep and Rome would got less armies, but stronger ones. I really don't know why auxilia (militia cohorts) are so weak, much more upkeep than Hastatis but much weaker.
Rome does have this problem only post-marian.

Yeh, retarded me i should know that, wasn't thinking lol, its OK, with RS 2.0 we have totally scrapped and re worked the legion AOR, so this shouldnt be an issue in future RS's.

    A Call to Arms

There you go, a look at 12 roman stacks. Better than before, but still more than half of their troops are auxilia and miliria cohors (sp?).

I don't trust that guy, no way he is 16 ... big beard, a bald head and that look ... pedophile

Right next to Londinium. What a perfect stack see, they do recruit good units when they have the ability

Eury is dead, the first and most glorious of all pirates

the dots show the territory they conquered on their own
Yay, TSE is going down I think my help isn't needed anymore and I can retire again to watch the massacre

I did bribe the 3 cities adjacent to Londinium (less than 150k, what a snap), 2 did rebel though. But I bribed four rebel stacks so that Rome can reconquer them.

Romans smelled blood and launched a big offensive against TSE, it looks good so far

These guys are worse than 5 year-olds. Romans and Germans have a border for 2 seconds and already they try to batter each others skull again

Germans are doing nicely in the east and north, but they can't hold Asia Minor yet. They linked their territories no more NGE and EGE, how shall I call them now?
