I have just spent nearly an hour reading this forum - friggin AWESOME! I am soo addicted... pls next update soon!!! Great work keep it up!
Thanks for all the praise guys
I hope the germans have more brain than the carthaginians. Their elites are really tough, Cherusci and Armoured Warriors are almost as good as Imperial legionaries.

Yeah, same here..
Btw: I've been trying to do a similar campaign right now (I'm at 212 b.c.)
--because it looked like fun: seeing what the AI does without doing anything yourself, no attacked borders to worry over, no army upkeep problems, etc etc --
But anyway, for a moment, you experienced a shortage of family members right?
So am I: I've got 2 70-year-olds, and 34-year-old with a 14-year-old son. That's it.
The old guys' wives are dead, so I've got like just 1 family branch that's still gonna be alive for a while..
Isn't there some kind of script that gives you an opportunity to adopt someone when you're down to just a leader and an heir?
Because during a certain campaign of mine, Pontus was down to 1 city and 3 family members. I had a 9-star assassin, so I killed the third family member, leaving only the pontic leader and the heir.
But next turn another -adopted- guy appeared! So I killed him too.
But again and again, whenever I killed the third guy, they got a replacement..
Any thoughts?
Ian
The only way I survived my family member shortage was prayingWhen I was down to 7 (total), they started to make babies again

Yes, TSE is going down!I bribed about 10 full stacks, most at the italian border
![]()
Thanks to my bribing, Rome could defend Patavium and pushed the front back into seleucid territory. TSE has only 3 or 4 stacks up in the north. 10 influence Diplomat ftw![]()
I love you guys! Smelly and hairy barbarian hordes ftw! At last somebody knows how to fight a war, not like these decadent carthaginians with an IQ of a toast ...
They have another 2 stacks to the south, I bribed some seleucid stacks so that they have an easier beginning. I'm conquering my way up to the caspian sea, which I will all give to Germania. Now TSE is really in trouble
Inflicted casualties 100-95BC: it's just getting more and more lol, hali got sacked the third time

Once you are certain that the TSE is screwed, give all your cities to Germania and Carthage, and watch the choas. Then attack the ultimate winner.
Aye man Kill the Winner!!!!!!!!
YAY Germans!!!!!
Here is the price of freedom: Your every drop of courage, ounce of pain, pint of blood,...paid in advance.
Beware of the germans I tellz ya!
In my current campaign, they're just expanding in every possible direction; they're even kicking Roman butt! Rome just got owned by 8 german stacks.
So, to make sure Grmania wouldn't win, I would have to take rome (because they were close to 50 provinces...)
I recruited the finest legion I myself had ever seen (golden chevrons all around) and went to take rome.
.. But I was too late -__-
Germans sacked Rome, but didn't win the game. So there was still time!
So I bribed the germans and got Rome for 27k XD
But the next turn they attack Rome with 2 full stacks, and what do I see??
"German Cherusci" .. those guys are WAY overpowered and the sole reason Germania keeps winning: those guys have more atk/def than my maxed-out cretan hoplites!!
And after a small spying session, I saw that all of their stacks are 80% of these cherusci!!
Ay caramba
Yup, german cherusci pwn, armoured warriors pwn too, they have worse stats, but pilum
But I wouldn't call them overpowered, imperial legionaries still have better stats. Don't compare them with cretan or other cities hoplites, these aren't elite units.
I think they are the only guys left who actually stand a chance against TSE. Since Carthage is braindead, I will only gift cities to Rome and Germania. Western Roman Empire against Eastern German Empire ... sounds like a lot of fun
go barbarians go, I only root for winners

Haha this is EPIC, I'm half expecting some form of Mongolian Hoard to enter the fray...you can do that right?I think they are the only guys left who actually stand a chance against TSE. Now, just give Germania your eastern cities, Rome your western cities, and pull out.
Hi there. Interesting campaign, and very inspiringOf course I had to try it on my own... without making notes or doing an AAR, its just for fun. I tried to make it without editing the files (dont know how ^^) and my start wasnt that smoothly

I lost all my mainland settlements to macedonia and rome (i sold all garrisons). I still have Knossos, Syracuse and Melite. Carthago tried to conquer Melite several times but Pyrrhos is t3h man there![]()
I dont know if I can make it as long as you did since macedonia, rome and carthago are really picking on meWe will see... its funny anyway.
Ok keep up the nice work and hopefully your 'experiment' about the eastern german empire will go well![]()
