Sorry I'm a bit late, my internet connection doesn't want to do what I tell it

    Apocalypse

hmmm... yeah ... a flood in the desert ... whatever :hmmm:

    A bad omen for Rome?

136BC: After TSE conquered Donut Dulce Donut (or however you spell that ), Rome had to search for a new enemy ... and since there was nobody left except TSE ...

The Ultimate Battle has just begun

    OMFGWTFBBQ!!!!111!!!11 70 Stacks! I'm blinded, I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy
a pity the AI is too retarded to invade with everything at once, that would be the best zerg-rush EVER

Some more pics from the border, to give you a clue in what dimensions this war will be fought

    The World at 130BC

Romans are making good progress, but their legions are inferior to the seleucid armies in a one-on-one fight.

They made good progress, but at high cost. Rome's legionaries are toughter than silver shields or argyraspides, but half of their armies are made up of mostly crappy auxilia. They are using communist-style stategies, spamming out as much as possible (even if it's crappy militia and auxilia) and keep throwing it at the enemy till he dies seems to work

Some fun news from Rome ... burying people alive, I have to remember that

Whoa, I'm amazed that Rome's military power took such a dive after only a short amount of time!

But..But, tSE can't win! They're like...umm, you see.. um.. but..

well, the Romans are just cooler! XD

    I hope Lucas doesn't sue me ^^

    The Empire Strikes Back

Germans are now officialy scandinavians. TSE keeps the rest of the Sarmatians in a little reservation. Looks like many seleucid like a "Watch hairy and smelly barbarians in free nature"-style of vacation
We don't assume any liability in case you or your family gets eaten, mutilated, sacrificed or in any other gruesome way killed.

The seleucid counteroffensive is pushing Rome slowly but steadily back.

TSE has a big advantage over the Romans, they can recruit their elites everywhere, their stacks are made up from 80% or 90% silver shield and argyraspides.

    Important
Since we are all Rome fanboys and detest the seleucid bastards, I was thinking about intervening and helping Rome a bit. I could recruit some stacks and send them on punitive raids into undefended seleucid territory like egypt or syria. I would assault their cities, exterminate them and then let them rebel or gift them to Rome. Obviously only autoresolve, since I can't play on Huge. That would hopefully distract TSE a bit, I would also give Rome some of my unneeded cash.
What do you guys want me to do? Help them or keep watching? I will wait till tomorrow until I continue this campaign, and I will then do what I want ... just kidding I will do what the mayority wants.

    Great AAR
Yeah, if I start to intervene, I can also start to clean up the map of worthless leeches
What kind of army should I recruit IF I help Rome, only armoured hoplites + rhodians/cretans hoplites, or some archers and some companions too? What is better for autoresolve? Infantry spam sounds to me the best way

Help Romans. AI is too dumb to help himself and I do not want to see this AAR ending with TSE all over the map. Kill some of those bastards!

Attack their weakest, but very wealthy settlements in Egypt and Levant coast. Sack them and exterminate (maybe you will even be lucky to get Exterminator trait ). This will slow TSE a lot.

Very well, it's decided, I will intervene. Maybe I can even revive Carthage by gifting (if they accept lol) them the sacked cities.
Expect the next update in a couple of hours.

Houston, we have problem! Like I suspected, the Artificial Incompetence just doesn't want to accept me gifting them cities, or when I only ask for map information in return. I have heard about a force diplomacy script, can somebody send me it or give me a link? I can't help Rome and Carthage when they don't want it ...
I'm an idiot, why did I have to choose Hard campaign difficulty? Now diplomacy is screwed and I can't fight anything thats bigger than a half-stack ...

    Idea:

Build 1 elite stack. Then rampage and let Selucid cities rebel. Don't stop until your hoard is wiped out, then stop.

And don't attack Gaul until its certain that the AI isn't invading Gaul (or otherwise known as "South Brittania".

Thanks a lot Tankbuster, gonna try it right away edit: it works, rep for you

Rome will never invade Britannia until they have conquered all the land territories they can get too. And I doubt the game runs long enough for this to happen. I will send some stacks over there, try to kill them (I have no clue how strong they are, so the chances are pretty high I get my ass kicked) and then gift it to Rome, maybe they even try to conquer the rest of Britannia.

BTW all seleucid stacks are elite stacks, and their elites are better than mine

I will have to split the update in two because of the size.

The Return of the Jedi Greek

In a bright and sober moment the Greek King thinks about the war on the continent. As it looks like TSE will crush Rome easily, he asks himself who they would fight next.
"Maybe Carthage, or the remnants of the germans, or the mysterious island of Britannia ... or ... or the GREEKS! OH CRAP! There is basicly nobody left but us greeks, why did nobody else think about that ... I'm the King, I have more important matters to attend than thinking about our future ..."
His advisor stepped in: "Your guests are here, my king."
"Oh, at last, I was getting bored and starting worrying about our future, stupid me. I have an assignment for you: go and make sure the Seleucid won't win the war with Rome, use all means necessary, but don't bother me with it."
He left his throne and headed to his guest to have some fun and get drunk, like he did every day.

3 mighty armies were recruited, and will set sail to Egypt to strike a heavy blow to the Seleucid. Let's hope the greeks remember how to use spear and shield.
The First Army (Rhodes) under "Eury", which will lead the raid.

The Second Army (Knossos) under "Anti"

The Third Army (Kydonia) under "Anax"

The plan was easy, and little resistance was anticipated. The First will take Alexandria and Pelusium, the Second Memphis and Thebes, the Third Ammon, Plynus and Cyrene.

In the winter of 116BC, Eury sets foot on egyptian soil, marching on Alexandria and sacking it right away.

Anti marches to Memphis, which burns too.

After a long march through the desert Anax reaches his first target too.

Intel was wrong, the seleucid were able to concentrate forces in Pelusium. Eury decides to stay put and cover the other armies backs. this sucks, I can't even beat a 7 unit garrison

In Spring of 115BC Anti reaches Thebes and put it to the sword.

Anax takes out his second and third target, the greek soldiers take revenge on the local population for their their fallen comrades (700 dead seleucid - 1500 dead greek, this is getting ridiculous, I don't even wanna know what would happen on VH)

Their mission is complete and the armies set sail back to Crete and Rhodes.
They leave 160000 dead civilians behind War is so much more fun without the Geneva Convention
We are the Greek, lower your shield and drop your weapon. Your property will be assimilated. Resistance is futile!

To honor our agreement with Carthage, the conquered cities are given over to carthaginian rule (force diplomacy ftw!). The Greeks just don't have enough forces to defend them.

I don't think TSE even noticed Egypt is missing, or they just don't care lol. They keep slaugthering the poor Romans ... but don't lose hope, the merciless greek pirates aren't finished with sacking yet
