    Default Someone Please Help

I posted this in the technical help forum but not enough ppl view that forum, so I am posting in here where the heavy traffic is.

I recently attempted to install the lastest version of my favorite mod for M2TW 1.2, when it happened; disaster.

It has been a battle of wills between me and my PC with so many fix's, patches, registry-research, Microsoft downloads, .net frameworks, deletes, restores, and much much more. And it all started with an unsuccessful mod install.

So, now, I can't even reinstall M2TW vanilla onto my desktop without errors. I think I may have figured out my first problem though, to many scratches on my disk maybe?

Here's my latest error, occuring at the M2TW install, disk 1:

CRC error: The file C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\Packs\Data_2.pack doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor.

    Abort Retry Ignore

    ANYONE CAN HELP ME, PLEASE?

I have read that this might be a driver problem for my DVD drive, anyone agree?

well sound for me it's worst because the message looks like there is a corruption of the data extracted from the cab in the memory.
Check if you don't have any antispyware and anti virus who can be running and test your memory as well
