A co-worker just told me that Kingdoms weighs in at 4 gigs!!!
Can someone please enlighten this pirate and tell me why a mere xpack is a whopping 4 gees?
For that size it better have tonnes of extras, including new musical scores for each faction. I'm not willing to uninstall Oblvion, Stalker or Rome to clear up 4 gigs of space.

Well, each campaign is like its own game, and contains its own game assets, music, models etc. Hope that answers your question.

I think its about 1+ GB per campaign, so 4+ in total, sorry i cant verify, i'm at work

The game is indeed 4 gigs, and it does include all new music for the campaigns (which is brilliant by the way)

If space is an issue while installing you can select which campaigns you want to install, if you dont plan on playing say the Crusade campaign you don't need to install it.

Internal hard drives are dirt cheap now. I picked up a 500 gig hd for like $130 Canadian a couple weeks back. I have 5 installs of M2TW and about 7 installs of RTW at this point, all for different mods, with plenty of room to spare. I actually have another 500 gig drive just sitting around in my room doing nothing, I haven't put it in my computer yet because I don't even need it.

It's wild, when I bought my first pc several years back 500 gig drives were unheard of.

i remember years ago when i had to scrounge around to make room for a 50 MEG game!

i remember getting half-life 1 and almost pooping my pants when i saw it was 400 megs. and this game is 10 times as big, and ive got 75 gigs to spare!

im amazed sometimes at how much, and how rapidly times r changing in our computer age. im sure that well before im 50 we will actually be on the total war battle field in a matrix-style VR. (with out the 'u die here u die for real' thing)

download version include 1.3 patch and 1.2 patch in order
but i dont know about the dvd though, does it contain patch 1.3?
