What was the difference between the early demo and final release of Medieval 2?
Hi guys, out of interest I was wondering if anyone who played the original demo (the one that was only supposed to come out for pre-order customers, but spread everywhere) recalls the main differences between it and the final product.
Here's what I remember off the top of my head:
Better trees in the demo (odd one I know, but that's how I remember it)
Slightly different graphics (I think the demo had more intense light bloom which annoyed some players)
A two handed animation that was taken out at the last minute an resulted in the nefarious '2-hander' bug.
The troops 'fought' differently - I think there were more spaced out or something, because at the end of a battle in vanilla M2 I find bodies tend to be packed very tightly together - when two sides clash you tend to see a rather thin line of corpses - wheras in the early demo they seemed to be scattered around more.
Just my imagination?
