Default Please Help, M2TW Installation Impossible Fresh Store Disk 2 Missing Voice1.dat CRC Error

Before posting I did a search and tryed to find help and nothing was apparent. This was not a issue previously before I upgraded to vista but non the less I should not get this error on a legit boxed retail copy.

Basicly unless there is somthing I am noy aware of, I am quite sure my disk is defective and needs replacing. Considering I got this game almost a Year ago returning to the store is no longer possible. I would like to know how I can go about fixing this if at all possible?

What I did was everything presented, even copying locally as seen below.

This attempthing to install from a local copy. Error Still Arises where it it demands the Data file and I have no option but to give it to it, or abort.

for kicks I wondered what would happen if I fed it the CD (where the file should be) - It produces a Redundancy Error and dies.

Again I should not get this on a legit copy, but It was fine in XP pro as I could just ignore the missing sound file and get on with playing.

Vista will not allow that, so now I cannot play or use the game. So now it is a issue and the flawed game is no longer ignorable.

So If possible any ideas to what I missed, or how I can go about geting my CD2 replaced.

Also because I know its comming, This error was fresh out of the box a year ago, and is still here now - its not scratches or a smuge or driver issues. Just a missing file on a CD.

English North American Retail Copy - Canada, Date of Purchase aprrox November/Christmas Last year.

Well, No help here so I found what I needed to know after some digging.

    Question
I've damaged my CD / DVD, can I get a replacement from you?

    Answer
Due to ordering requirements with the manufacturer we do not operate a replacement service (for a fee) on damaged software. As the licence to play the game is related solely to the particular piece of software bought any replacement requests will need to be taken up with the original retailer. For further information on this please refer to the warranty outlined below:

    WARRANTY
Sega Europe Limited warrants to you, the original purchaser of the Game, that this Game will perform substantially as described in the accompanying manual for a period of 90 days from the date of first purchase. If you discover a problem with the Game covered by this warranty within the 90-day period, your retailer will repair or replace the Game at its option, free of charge, according to the process identified below. This limited warranty: (a) does not apply if the Game is used in a business or for a commercial purpose; and (b) is void if any difficulties with the Game are related to accident, abuse, virus or misapplication. This limited warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have statutory or other rights under your local jurisdiction.

    WARRANTY CLAIMS
Warranty claims should be made to the retailer from where you bought the game. Return the Game together with a copy of the original sales receipt and an explanation of the difficulty you are experiencing with the Game. At its option, the retailer will either repair or replace the Game. Any replacement Game will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days from receipt, whichever is longer.
If for any reason the Game cannot be repaired or replaced, you will be entitled to receive your direct (but no other) damages incurred in reasonable reliance but only up to the amount of the price you paid for the Game. The foregoing (repair, replacement or limited damages) is your exclusive remedy.

    - So for me, its to late and I need to either buy a hole new copy because If failed workmanship or 'aquire' the missing peice.

I hope this is helpful for anyone else comming to vista whom like me skiped the error. Factory Disk errors are not a one person thing
