Online Pre-Orders

Sorry for creating a new topic for this!
But for those that have pre-ordered online who thinks their's will arrive 2moro?

I am espcially interested in Play.com customers! as mine only sent 2day! I assume it was 12:00 mail and not 5:00pm. but still the email says allow 3-5 days. I know this is a generic email, but if that is the case i think ill be no longer pre-ordering from them.

What about everyone else?

I also used Play.com and too was sent it at noon today, my guess is its either going to get here tommorrow or Saturday, the 3-5 day deal is merely to cover their own tracks should something slow it down on transit, I usually get them on time or a day before so no fear.

My mum stacks the shelves at Tesco in the games section, so I have her on back up duty should it not arrive

In seriousness, the beuaty of Play is that should they be late and you go off and buy it (I actually used playtrade credit so aren't spending a thing), just send it back unopened and you get everything back.

I got mine today from EB games. I'm pretty pissed at them though because I was supposed to get a free Shogun Total War download as a "bonus". Well, I never got anything about it and so I called EB and they said they had no record of it in my receipt, that it wasn't on their website, and that the manufacturer probably took it off. If it was something of a greater value I would take them to court for false advertising. As it is, if I don't get it, they just lost my business.

My Amazon preorder won't ship until the 4th!

I did get my free Shogun download code today though. The graphics are a blast from the past but it is actually pretty fun.

I've just received (07:15!) an email from Amazon, concerning my preorder, saying that it had been dispatched today, with a expected delivery date of Monday.

Not bad! Who knows, if I get lucky it may even be delivered tomorrow (Saturday).

10:03 (sad i know the exact time but sure) The postman came, two quite heavy thuds, through the noise of ecstatic dog barking, so i rush downstairs, but no game

can't really say im surprised, I never get day after delievery because it takes longer to ship to Norn Iron!

Anyone else (not) get theirs today? id be interested to hear

I am installing mine as we speak.

My best bet mate would be either to wait (agonising I know when you have time off, its the same here) or go and purchase it from a local Tesco or games shop, then send the Play.com one back and recieve a refund.

unfortunate, i also pre ordered mine from play.com but mine arrived this morning at about 10:15, i suppose its just one of those little annoying things in life that eventually all build up to drive you mad... *cough*

Play aren't great at delivery. I used to order from them all the time a while back but most packages tend to take between 3-5 days after dispatch. I've used gameplay.co.uk for all my pre-orders for the last year or so and always get the game at least a day before release. I got my Kingdoms delivered yesterday.

think ill start with gameplay aswell now! Just for curiosity do you live on mainland england? cause if you do and you get it a day before, then i might get it on release day

Yea I'm Mainland UK. I think Play tend to take a bit longer as they're based in Jersey (they're still better than amazon though). Gameplay.co.uk have always been very good since I used them and I've also heard a lot of good things about shopto.net although I think you have to sign for the parcels from them which isn't much good to me as I work (they insist on the first couple of packages being delivered to the cardholders address).
