What is the best TW game?

I have M2TW and it is very fun, but I wan't another TW game. What is a good one? I have heard Rome is good but what do you think?

Well you could just buy Kingdoms since it's released now. But if you really want a different era and stuff then Rome would be a very good choice. It has good gameplay and good battles. I like it a lot myself.

The further back you go into the TW series the less visual the graphics are and this is disappointing to most after playing M2. If you still want better looking graphics Rome is good and a lot of fun if you don't care about super graphics but still want to play a good game that has good graphics with a lot of beautiful art work in the game then Shogun would be my choice on an excellent game. But like I said after playing M2 and to go all the way back and play Shogun your going to be shocked at how different the graphics were then. But that's technology for ya, you'll probably enjoy Rome more in those days it was the most advanced game after Shogun for graphics and the way the sprites were constructed and moved. Rome blew a lot of people away on it's release just like the graphics blew us away on M2's release.

Medieval 2 and Rome are more similar to each compared with Medieval and Shogun.
Shogun and Medieval have a more chess-like campaign map for example.
Depending on the era you like most, you should make a choice. I prefer Medieval times most, that's why I would say Medieval 1 (+ Viking Invasion). I really enjoy the atmosphere in that game, it has a good authentic look and feel.
