    Default Automanage cities/castles

When I first played the campaign, I thought the only way to manage cities/castles (read: construct buildings and recruit units) was to put a general in the cities/castles, giving me a hard time moving generals to cities/castles where they were needed most.
After playing for a while, I stumbled upon the checkboxes in the construction browser of my cities/castles, giving me the option to turn off this automanagement feature.
The fact that automanagement is turned on automatically when no general is present, makes me feel as if it was intended by the game developers to put a govenor in cities who manages everything. Like some sort of realism setting.
Does everybody uncheck the automanaging checkboxes or do you allow the cities/castles to manage themselves?

Before you start a campaign, there's a tick-box that asks if you would like to auto-manage towns and cities. I always uncheck it because I find that self-managing allows me to do exactly what I want in each settlement each turn.

it depends really. if i want the total experience of running an empire i leave it so that settlements can only be manged if there is a governor in the settlement. however most of the time uncheck the box at the beginning of the campaign that allows me to manage all settlements even if there is no governor in the settlement.

Sometimes i make sigs like mine, if you want one pm me.

    My point exactly.
It's like changing the game settings to an easier level because you get control of cities/castles you normally don't control (except for ordering a build policy).
