Re: Unit's attack/defense
Find the unit you want to edit. Once you found the unit, find the data entry. This is the unit's primary attack. The unit's defence attributes are the data entry. The export_descr_unit file has a basic explaination of the data entries at the beginning. I suggest you read it to get a basic understanding of unit attributes, and always, always, always make a backup file before you do any modifications.
The stat_pri numbers are like this;
stat_pri attack factor, bonus attack factor if charging, missle type fired (if no missile is used, then enter "no"), range of missile (enter "0" if there is no missile), amount of missiles per man (enter "0" if there is no missile), weapon type (melee, thrown, missile, or siege_missile), tech type (simple, other, blade, archery or siege), damage type (piercing, blunt, slashing or fire)
The stat_pri_armour numbers are like this;
stat_pri_armour armor factor, defensive skill factor, shield factor, sound when unit is hit (flesh, leather, or metal)
If you get stuck on something, or don't know what to do, go to http://www.twcenter.net/wiki/Export_descr_unit.txt for more help.
Good luck.
