    Default New Age: Total War.

    New Age: Total War.

Imagine an Britain after the Romans left. The departure of the the power that had ruled Britain for over 300 years leaves a large power vacuum. The Romano-British desperately defend against the hordes of enemies, getting attacked from the Irish Gaels in the West, the Picts in the North, and the Angles and Jutes in the South and West. They fight pitched battles against each other, fighting over Britain like dogs over meat. Interested? Read on...

I have been turning this idea over in my head for a while. I would love to start up a mod about the fall of the roman empire and the power vacuum left by it's decline in Roman Britain. I feel this is one of the most exciting eras, and would be fertile grounds for a mod to be started on. I have, unluckily, stumbled upon a flaw in my plan. Let me be straight with you. I am not a skinner. I am not a mapper. I am not a coder. And I believe that a mod should have a mod leader that can do at least one of those things. If I led the mod, I couldn't do that. So I came up with the concept of having 3 co-leaders. Researching, Skinning, Coding and maybe Mapping. That way, each co-leader would coordinate their own part of the mod.

    Now, onto the concept.

The mod would depict the period just after the Romans left Britain, and the invasions and raids of the Gaels, Angles, Picts and Jutes. This would provide fast-paced gameplay and many exciting opportunities, as you struggle to survive as the Romano British, invade England as the Angles, and raid using wild Pictish warriors.

    Faction List:

The faction list is still provisional and being worked on, but the Picts, Angles, Jutes, Saxons, Scots, Strathclyde, Dal Riada, Dumnonia, and Dyfed will probably be featuring.

    Features:

    New Gameplay
    New Units and Factions
    Detailed Provinces
    Non-unit Graphics
    Better Game Mechanics
A time period starting at 450AD, with the end date not yet decided.

To make this mod come alive, we will need everything. Skinners, Coders, Mappers, Historians. Note that this would NOT be a quick project. This is a total modification, meaning that it overhauls almost all of the game, and will not be a short project.

So, please leave your name and job within the mod if you wish to join, anyone who doesn't feel free to speculate, praise, or rip to pieces my entire idea.
