2 issues=CTD and settings

well first off the CTD is driving me nuts- ive gone over the forums and i might have it figured out what it is, but dont know how to fix it. been playing since the game came out and havent had any issues till now. i reinstalled once, but ill try again. didnt clean the registery.

the CTD only happens during battles, i have to go back and play a few to make sure, but i read that it could be when killing the enemy general the message will crash the game.

2nd- everytime i start MTW2 or any of the mods the sound is always muted.... i have to go in everytime and uncheck the mute button

For the second issue your .cfg file isn't getting saved. So you can go to medieval.preferences.cfg in your M2TW folder and under audio change enabled to 1 from 0.

You can try turning off the event messages in battle to see if you don't crash, otherwise I'd reccommend reinstalling if you're not playing a mod.
