Stainless Steel with Kingdoms

Hi just wondered if I install kingdoms will stainless steel still work with original Medieval II? Or will I have to make a copy of Medieval II before installing kingdoms?

It's not working with the new CD. I haven't tested launching it with the old CD, but it would be really annoying if I'd have to use the old CD everytime I wanted to play the Grand Campaign.

Kingdoms CD allows you to play the Grand Campaign or any other of the campaigns, period. But Stainless Steel (At least the launcher for it) won't work for me with the new CD. Maybe it just takes a simple patch/hotfix to solve this...I hope it does.

Here in Belgium, kingdoms got released as of today. I am gonna look tommorrow for it . I think new fantastics mods will be developed, with the new options in kingdoms.

Kingdoms CD will only launch the Kingdoms campaigns, you need to use the M2TW CD to launch the Grand Campaign and any mods done for it.

Forgot to call the local EB games (only place around here that get games on the release date, not week after) and check if they had it in today.

I assumed they went by the 31st august release date for europe, but if Belgium has it then... waaaah.

Thats correct, but I only saw it online, you could order, not preorder. So I assume they had it. But I will check tommorow. I let you know

Actually, i am tempted to try new SS with Kingdoms features, i mean, they said there would be new options to mod things.

Sad fact, that in Russia they always release localized versions (so that extra wait time, sigh), while i vastly prefer playing games in original english

Heh, atleast you don't need to cope with "bastardized" game, where all events and buildings in english (after installing SS), but unit stats and voices in russian.

For example, if you say me "that unit is highly disciplined", i don't know what that means, because there is no "discipline" in unit description at all

Well, as far as I could tell when I looked, direct2drive offers the only download that's compatible with a boxed copy (if someone has other information, feel free to share). I quickly selected it, entered my info as usual and then bang, "Item removed from check-out list, restricted to North America". Funny. Not.

il buy it, play it till death, play SS again, wait till a good mod for kingdoms, play that to hell, return the the complete uber version of SS(or Broken cresent(sp?). and play it to hell, prolly both
