    Default ORNAMENTUM

    Ornamentum 1.03 - Preview
    England, Denmark, Scotland

    The goal of the mod is to make conversions that could make the original game more diverse and more playable. Besides that, the mod does not cause any important changes in the map and the main settings. The conversions more or less touch the skins of the units: we tried to manage that the units reflects the upgrade level of the soldiers more significantly, and makes the game more varied. By aiming to make a lot of units more realistic, the rest of it simply became more diverse. We’re not stick to follow the tradition, that a unit must have a colored something on it, which indicates its identity, but because of this, some heavily armored ones may seems a little “color less”, because there’s no any colored “outfit“ on top of the armor.

    We’ve worked a lot on the shields, tried to make them more faithful and varied, so the situation where every nation uses the same shield with different colors…is fixed . By the changes we can see a lot of new symbols and colors in the shields, that typical of their own nation.

    We also changed all of the banners. The new banners use the basic colors of their nation, but we made them more realistic with historical symbols, what the factions really used at the time. For example the banner of the king in each faction, is really the flag or a symbol that a real king used in the history, so he becomes perceptible on the battlefield, if he’s there.
    Of course we maintain the right of the standardization.

    We would like to finish this mod in a few weeks, which is 80% complete at the moment. The entire mod contains the conversions of the English, the Danish and the Scottish faction.

    After we finished this mod we would like to make this wider with new a faction/month, and will summarize these after every 3. months and come up with additional 3 factions in a new version of our mod: Ornamnetum.

    The full mod will come up with the changed England, Scotland, Denmark, and we’re also about to make 3 mini mods with one of the factions alone. So if someone would like to play only with the changed England, it will be downloadable too.

    Attention! We would like to make the game more playable and more faithful, but do not want to make it fully faithful. As much as we fix, we make it more unique.

    Changes:
    - New shields: new shields for every country’s knights, spearman and some archer units

    - New flags: new, different flags for different type of units (such as: archer, foot, and mounted soldiers, generals), new Royal banner

    - New skins and models

    - New loading screen

    - New menu design

    - Interface changes at the Campaign map

    - Every faction is playable

    - Etc.

    Further goals:
    - Further re-designing of the popular factions

    - Conversion of a new in-game nation/month

    - New units and models

    - The re-designing of the entire interface, and some faction symbols

    - New factions

    - Map modifications

    - Etc.

    Coming soon…

    Atention!

    We're looking for some fanatic and professional guys who could help our work in the following fields:
    • as a modeller, who could make even new models in any 3D-software, or transformed the existing ones if needed;
    • as a scripter, who could make some parameter modification in the game, for example helping in building the new menu, or making the mode switch file;
    • as a skinner, who could redesign the texture of the units in Photoshop and Milk, etc.
    Ornamnetum® TotalWar Medieval II. Modfication.
