What is the best way to install expansion pack with kingdoms ??

I freshly install MTW2 vanilla and then i install the expansion pack?

Or do i install MTW2 vanilla and then Patch 1.2 and then the expansion pack ??

I don't have kingdoms (yet..) but I'd assume either would work, but I'd probably do M2TW + 1.2 then kingdoms as it doesn't necessarily modify the original game and you'll most likely still want to play it for some purposes.

The expansion disk has 5 things on it:
    The Patch 1.2
    The Patch 1.3
    The america campaign
    The britania campaign
    The Crusades campaign
    The Teutonic campaign

I have not used the automatic method, cause the first time I tried it I had to reinstall MTW2.
    What I did was:
    Install MTW2
    Patch to 1.2
    Patch to 1.3
    Install of the campaigns

All things on the DVD can be installed separately...
Off course if you install one of the campaigns without patching your game to the 1.3, it won't work
By the way, to launch the campaigns I had to create bat files like if I was using a mod.
The originals shortlinks lead to a crash if I use them

Nota: the automatic install seems (but I am not sure if the patch 1.2 is applied auto) to install in first the patch 1.3 followed by the campaigns you wanted to install.
I am not sure, if you wish to use the automatic install, if you have to patch to the 1.2 your MTW2 game... so if you get a message that your MTW2 game version is not compatible, then try to apply the patch 1.2 before launching it.

Nota 2: my problems with the automatic install was that a campaign refused to install until the end.
I had to uninstall it but the game had problem to find it, so uninstall did not work well, then the auto install refused to let me reinstall the teutonic campaign...
So I removed everything, installed a fresh MTW2 and applied patch and expansion manually.

I reinstalled M2TW from scratch, then patched to 1.2 manually, tested that - worked fine - inserted Kingdoms disk which began with patching it to 1.3.

Only glitch I can report was that the install seemed to 'pause' between the parts, and I really clicked *cancel* between every time - worked more like 'press any key' in an old ms-dos batchfile - it just continued, but only after the click. Real weird.

Then it started nagging about my process explorer, so I had to kill that, take it out of my startup and reboot (it leaves some kernel stuff active). But that's just Securom that's very picky about debugger-capable toolies.

After that, besides the occasional end-turn CTD playing as Mayas, no problems. Probably some building reported completed, but not correctly structured in the DB somehow, is my hunch.
