Is the DVD scratched at all? You could try copying the contents of the DVD to your harddrive then installing it from that location.

Go to my computer-right click on your dvd device-properties-recording tab-check enable cd recording on this drive.
This simple thing sometimes solves many issues like you think dvd is wrong or scratched it...
That's as far as I can help here.

I'm getting exactly the same error message when trying to install the 1.3 patch from the kingdoms disc. As I can't play kingdoms without the patch it is very annoying.

and im getting the error on a fresh disk set of MTW2

CRC - Is a "I cannot Read/Find the requested file" so A) its physicaly not there or B) a Scrach, Dust, fingerprint ect. is blocking it or C) Your Reader (DVD, CD-ROM) is poopy and fails to read/find it due to its own internal poopyness.

    So one of the 3

I decided what i call to do a "when nothing work do this" install.

Than you do like this: You try to do everything to avoid a failure, dosent matter if it is complete crazy and dosent effect at all but just do everything
I even shutted down my internet for some reason

    And guess what it worked

+ rep to many people here giving good advice
