Heretics as a Muslim faction

Anyone else have a problem with them popping up like mushrooms all over the darn place when you are playing as a muslim faction? Im playing as the Moors, have most of the Iberian pennisula and they just pop up like wildfire. Presents a real problem because it seems to increase disorder in a disproportionate amount. I even have two roaming around Timbuktu!

Any suggestions besides spamming Immam's and just hoping the 33% hit rate works out?

Build your religious buildings in the area and get imams there. Start converting your population so you won't get heretics.

the odd thing is that even if i have 90% muslim in a region there still doesnt seem to be a decrease in the number of heretics.

I'm playing Moors campaign atm and yes I had this problem too. I've found that if imams don't help, one of alternative solutions is to train your assassins and make them do their 'phalic snake' or 'burn while sleeping' or 'rock on head' or 'dagger flying' thing - that is assassination (couldn't have said shorter lol

) on those pesky heretics.

imams have a better chance to remove the heretic, and a better chance to not turn to the enemy side compared with the spy's chance of dying.

You should be able to order instant executions of enemy priests/merchants/diplomats.
With priests and diplomats earning the annoyance of the owner and merchants earning a trade embargo or such. The only assassination on your own territory that shouldnt work is a general, since he has troops along with him.

HMMM I really like the assasination idea, it is more entertaining and it will build up your assassins skills so they are btter when you need them to go after real enemies

think i'll give the assassination route a chance today. i havent dont much with the assassins in my current game bc I have been so busy trying to build up the economy and hold off europe at the pyrenees. cheers

yeh i played with Egypt and same thing happens lol my imams have a lot of work to do
