Problem with re-installing Rome total war
Earlier today, when I was trying to install Rome:total realism, the instructions told me to uninstall Rome Total War. I promptly did this and now, when I attempt to re-install it, it stops( usually on the file Voice 3.Dat) and after a while gives me an error message( Data error<Cyclic redundancy check> ). I have tried what the sticky thread suggested; deleting the activision folder, eliminating the old registries, CC cleaner etc. and none have worked. Help would be massively appreciated. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: The precise error message is Feature transfer error. The cyclic redundancy bit is part of the details.

Re: Problem with re-installing Rome total war
No, unfortunately, I have tried to install it many times now and every time, it has stopped at exactly the same spot. When I tried to copy the contents of the cd onto my computer to see if that would make a difference, it stopped and cancelled at the part which contains the file that the installation stops on. How do I stop DirectX from Installing and does the numerous failed downloads mean my cd is now corrupted and unusable?
