I wouldn't say that I "believe" in evolution because that gives the impression that I'm accepting it as an act of faith. I trust scientific evidence and I think that it leads to the conclusion that evolution happens, making it a valid theory.

I was going to post something like this, but I will change one thing. I don't trust the evidence. Trust still implies some sort of faith. I think the evidence for evolution out there is correct.

Where is the "I don't care where we came from because God created us either way" option.

If you truly do not care, then you do not post in this thread. If you believe that God created us, and we evolved from there on, then you select the 'I believe in Evolution' option. I am sure that most Christians would select this option. You would have to be pretty damn silly to not believe in some form of Evolution. But then again, we still have a flat earth society.

    Same here...

I'm guessing the so called missing link can't be that important because it's very possible that evolution wasn't as linear as people can think.

The title should be changed to "Do I believe in reality?"

Man I've seen too much crazy cristian BS the past few days, and most of it came from americans, no offend. When it comes to cristianity they get some times to extreme, not all off them a small part I believe, so I needed to know if sane people existed

Some Christians go extreme about evolution/creationism. Some Muslims go extreme and blow themselves up. Sane people do exist, but you are asking the wrong question to find out where they are.

    Hi all,

I believe in Evolution and I'm a Christian.

What I mean by Evolution is Micro-Evolution not macro, meaning varying species of animals, birds, fish, etc., dinosaurs...

You'd have to be very, very clear when talking about Evolution nowadays. The old theory of Darwin's Evolution is gone. NEO Evolution is what people are talking about now.

No scientist recognizes different types of biological evolution. Macro and micro are fallacies brought upon by creationists.

They are the same thing, the same exact process, just over different time scales.

Darwin is and will always be the father of evolution. His theory still stands and is as valid as it always was.

Well at this scale I don't think you have to be that spesifick. I believ in solid facts. Altought everypart of the evolution is not clear to us it's a fact that it did take plase so why make it more difficult than that? Yes I believe it. Or I believe that cientists are telling the truth.
Even if a thousand people believe in a lie, it's still a lie.

As well educated as to believe in a hypothesis that has too many missing links to be proved . Good job, science !

Fact: In science, an observation that has been repeatedly confirmed and for all practical purposes is accepted as "true." Truth in science, however, is never final, and what is accepted as a fact today may be modified or even discarded tomorrow.
Hypothesis: A tentative statement about the natural world leading to deductions that can be tested. If the deductions are verified, it becomes more probable that the hypothesis is correct. If the deductions are incorrect, the original hypothesis can be abandoned or modified. Hypotheses can be used to build more complex inferences and explanations.
Law: A descriptive generalization about how some aspect of the natural world behaves under stated circumstances.
Theory: In science, a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses.

Evolution is a theory, not a hypothesis.

This missing links claim is absolutely ridiculous. Yes, there are things that are not yet completely discovered but this is what happens everytime a link is found between species.

    Creationist: how did X become Z ??

Scientist: HI this is fossil of Y, and here is hundreds of scientific studies to prove it is the missing link between X and Z.

Creationist: OH YEAH??!? LOL, so what is the link between X and Y, and Y and Z..scientist fail again, lololol good job science!.

    Scientist: /sigh.

    What Feliks said.
I too could not answer the poll because it asks if I 'believe' in evolution. Belief is only necessary when something cannot be proven. Evolution via natural selection has been proven. I do not believe in it. I think it is the truth.

    Edit:

Care to list evidence for this claim?
