this is a really accurate game from what i can see. ive carved up south italy, greece and macedon, west asia minor, scicily, carthago and utica all in one long night with greece.

the mix of hoplites, special hoplites eg. Athenian hoplites, spartan hoplites, corinthian hoplites and also the guys in apollonia i cant remember the name. erupius. i know its an old civilization but im not too sure.

the mod also brings focus away from the romans giving it to the hellanistics.

because of a few problems like a brutii flag in custom battle for the other romans and the pharoah still used in diplomatic talks i give it a 9.7.

ive been eyeing this up all week. so cant wait for 7.0.

Yea its good! Greece is such a fun faction! I also recomend playing as Thrace. Its a pretty good challenge in VH/H. Bactria also has some good units. Numidia is a real Challenge. Try it.

Numidia is real challenge......its top-notch until you take down Carthage's lands...once accomplished.....money will not be an issue.....

well now ive defeated macedon, taken more of west asia minor, taken more areas of carthage, taken parts of the ptolemics in the south asia minor.

im currently at war with Illyria, Seceulid empire, Ptolemic empire, Rome and Carthage. I had good trade rights with teh Illyrians and lost some revenue but Rome is at its last settlement with good old Pyhrus taking most of the italian peninsula, scicily but hes about to die and hes my faction heir. One of his adopted sons died at sea whilst another got slaughtered on a carthaginian phalanx though i dont know how

The Illyrians are down to their last two settlements but have full stacks in and around and their heavy hoplites are good but not good enough for my tactics which mainly involves engaging in one quite short deep line whilst my general and my merc gaul cavalry (i found in carthage :S) go behind and smash them to bits and break their formation. Pyhrus has got a 3 bar silver experienced general and a bronze sword trait and hitpoint bonus for himself. His elephants died early on and couldnt be bothered to get more so ive relied on my elite hoplites which are the best i can make in italy. At one point he had an 8 star command but went down to 5 after him rebuilding his army. But his 10 star influence didnt help too much but he won a big battle that decided the fate of the Italian Peninsula. If i lost i would loose the peninsula because my garrisons are more or less non existent in italy apart from Pyyrhus's army. If they lost I'd have easy access to the 2 or 3 unit garrisons and also it would open the door to europe.

Ive shared a border with Thrace for ages but our alliance has held though they refuse to help me fight the seceulids even with all the money i can spare. I think i might fund Iberia to fight the Carthagians because theyve been warring since more or less the start with no one taking anything off the other but the iberians are bankrupted so if i help them Carthage will face two fronts. Carthage is still a big power 3rd in the world i think and i'm blockaded all over italy because of them so i have took the fight to them and victory means the medditeranian is mine all mine.

Hi, try my Euroasia Mod....it gives an Indian Faction of Mauryan Empire its challenging to play.....lack of good infantry and a Stockade of elephants and chariots.....its challenging.....just take care of the phalanxes and javelins....they i'll screw down the elephants.....
