lol... he's right. Well, there were plenty of nice blue ones as well.
At least those are nice Uniforms. If CA puts the effort to make pink uniforms look like that it's OK by me, as long as it's not every soldier of a certain faction!
Yes, I hate the fact RTW is out and I still have a Japanese title. Come on now admins- let's get with the program.

It would be nice to see differences in the game between european infantry and colonial infantry. For example in the colonies the British adapted their uniforms firstly to counter the Indian threat then the American Militias. The light infantry regiments that were formed wore shorter and more adaptable coats and jackets, lighter trousers/gaiters and relied less on baggage trains. Plus such were the reforms in America of generals like Howe and Cornwallis that most line regiments acted like light infantry during the campaigns around Philadelphia and in the Carolinas.
@Erebus26: From what I've seen of the preview pictures in the German GameStar magazine, there do indeed appear to be seperate colonial troops vs. European troops..
Anyway, I already posted this list in the Dutch Republic Faction Thread, but I might as well repeat it here for your enjoyment..
For those of you interested, this wonderful website has an extensive database of military uniforms..
Over here is the Hendrik Jacobus Vinkhuijzen collection of military uniforms (the Dutch section). Aparently this man collected pictures of military uniforms from all over the world and at the link are all the Dutch uniforms, running from 1204 to 1909, which should adequately cover the period of Empire: Total War..
Here are a few examples (42 to be precise):

After 1795, the Dutch Republic is captured by French revolutionary forces and Dutch patriots rename the state into the Batavian Republic. The uniform code is subsequently changed as well and strongly resembles those of the French of the period..

In 1807 Napoleon placed his brother Louis Napoleon at the head of the new Dutch state, now called the Kingdom of Holland. Again, the style of uniforms was changed..

Louis Napoleon's policies are too independent of France's according to Napoleon, so he quickly removes his brother from the throne and simply annexxes the former Dutch territory. Dutch uniforms are subsequently replaced with French uniforms and Dutch soldiers are incorporated in the French army. In 1812, after Napoleon's defeat, the United Kingdom of the Netherlands (incorporating the Netherlands and Belgium) is formed and new uniforms are designed (although old French uniforms are still being used)..

I'm sure there are a few useful examples in here for either the developers at CA to use, or for potential future modders..
Okay, these sites are a little hard to navigate (the fact that they are in German doesn't help), but they have more uniform illustrations than you can shake a stick at.
First, go here: http://www.grosser-generalstab.de/
Click on the little Iron Cross with the word "Inhalt" written underneath. It will bring up another screen with a list of links. "Knötels Uniformkunde" has a huge number of uniforms from Prussia and various German states from a range of time periods. "Les Uniformes de l'Armée française 1690 depuis 1900" has French uniforms, with a great many being from the 18th century and Napoleonic era. It also has the facing colors of all the French royal regiments. Hope it's of some use.
Also, I for one would give up a kidney to be able to design my own uniforms in game.
