Hey, I've just removed the image tags like I did in the OP, just so it doesn't get too image heavy. ~ Scorch

I really hope they don't go the route of having a "national colour."
What seems better, IMHO, is to give every unit a command with their colours displayed prominently. The Habsburg flag is very distinguishable from the French Flag, just to list a case where primary infantry colour would be the same.
Besides, even if you get a bit confused, you can only select your own units, and can't attack your own, so it's no big deal?
But yes, I really do hope they sharpy divide the period into a pre-Napoleonic and post-Napoleonic period, because the uniform changes were quite significant. Additionally, I really hope they have a variety of infantry units available, to bring in some of the diversity, most especially for cavalry. Perhaps they could even implement random (well, chosen from a list) colours for infantry facings to distinguish regiments on the battlefield? I think it'd do wonders to have something like that.
Im hoping they dont follow the previous TW games colour. This era wasnt melee combat heavy as the others and should be easier to track with units kept in lines trading fire apart from each other. Plus having 50 factions would be a eye sore to see. Imagine (purple, mauve, puce) ick.
whats the name of the hat that the GB 17th light dragoon regiment wears?
really geeking out about them, liked seeing them in The Patriot.
Just a quick note, please do not post too many pictures in one post, as the thread will become too image heavy. A few is alright, but if there are many, please include them as links. Also, direct scans of books and other copyright material is not allowed. Thanks.

The best uniforms have France, Prussia and Russia, I think.
I don't like British uniforms!
