Default Advise on which mod to play

Ok, this pretty much sum’s it up. I have ShivTW installed and I have a campaign that I really want to finish, but I want to download another mod that’s Rome based and play it with out it messing up my ShivTW campaign. Anyway I was wondering if I could install and play with it messing up my campaign. And by that I mean one were you can play Carthage.

    Thread title (added) changed..

It makes it difficult to know what a thread is about if there's no title..

Any mod which is contained within it's own folder ie; uses the -mod system will leave your original game untouched. I don't know any that are Carthage focused off hand though.

You can play Carthage in any mod that doesn't refocus the game onto either another time period or another land mass. Anyway, I play XGM and love it, plus its constantly getting better with updates and the recent addition of a new faction. Carthage also just recently got a revamp.

You could always copy the Rome Total War files and paste them into a new folder then install the mod into that new folder to be able to play all the mods that you desire.

Yeah I think I’m going to wait till the English patch for CB comes out or I may download ITW Gold, when it comes out.

RTR is a really good mod. And they've made Carthaginian Sacred band worthy again.

Yeah I liked RTR Platinum but chose SPQR over it for reasons I can't remember...

RTR Platinum Edition is a good rome era mod to get started with. Excellent balance of gameplay and history, and best of all it downloads into its own mod folder. There are no other files that are affected.

RTR Platinum 1.9!!! I know you like phalanx units with your Carthaginians (and I know this because I've read most of your "screenshots of Carthage" threads ).... anyways, in RTR they only have 1 unit with the Macedonian style phalanx, the rest are the greek style phalanx its esier to manouver. But the gamplay is awesome man try it out. Oh and EB is pretty good too but its slow (slow in the campaign and slow if you have a bad computer) and it gets a bit confusing.
