Default french too easy even on very hard?

I played some rounds with the french, and what i noticed was that i have too much money - which i can hardly spend, even on very hard and supplying a full stack french army all the time in the field. How can i adjust that, will you adress that. For now it seems too easy, but i will try some more turns.

You have to much money? How far are you into the campaign? I could adjust the field cost script, but that would make the beginning harder as well. I can also tweak building cost, settlement mechanics, etc (which I plan do do anyway).

    Thanks,

i played about 3 years (12 rounds). Perhaps the field cost should be increased. When is there a higher cost - also in a forification?

Build some agents and you have -2000 every round. Or more. I think all big fractions are easy to play. The germans and the turks got even more teretory. But just play a minor fraction. With Spin you will have some problems and with danemark or egypt. Have fun . I think for these nations the script is to hard. Even with england or byzanz your money could have a "-" in front of it very fast if you don't watch out.

The field cost script only applies when an army is in the field. It does not apply when your army is in a settlement, fort, or at sea. It also only applies to armies that have a family member leading it due to game engine limitations.

Unfortunately thats the truth. Larger factions are easier to play. Eventually I'd like to write a script that will make factions surrounding these have more armies/resources if the player plays as a large faction to give the player a bigger challenge.

Sorry it took so long to respond.
