    Default RS Music

Dvk, I think it's time for you to replace that boring vanilla music with some true soundtracks. I like very much both EB historical approach to music and SPQR epic classical music... Why not the same for RS 2?
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

We had someone working on that, but his PC died and haven't heard from him since.

Maybe we should recruit a new music man? We can use Icyvoid's tracks for the Romans and start menu, and I suppose it won't be too difficult to acquire other types of tracks if we ask the right people...

Aye, an RS soundtrack would make it a more engrossing and unique experience. The music in vanilla is just awful.

I thought the music in Vanilla won a nomination for the composer in the BAFTA awards, or so Wikipaedia says...

That should mean that people generally liked the music, otherwise the composer would not have been nominated.

I like it. I mean it gets boring after three years of playing, but it is still a great soundtrack. More Music would be great. But only as a change and not really because I don#t like it.

If you want something temporary to hold you over on music download the Punic Wars Music Pack... it installs right over RS - it does change the loading screens, but if that is not a big deal to you its definantly worth it!

Actually it's not too hard to change the load screens, splash screen, and whatever else the music mod replaces back to the RS versions. Just make backups of all the relevent files and overwrite the Punic War ones. Then you're just left with the music mod, which is great.
