Default Which chairs do you use?

I made the mistake of buying another one from Argos. It's fine, apart from the seat cushion, it's so thin that sitting on it for prolonged periods gets very uncomfortable. Can someone suggest a good, comfy chair that you can sit in for a long time? My budget is around £50. I'm not very tall, so one of those high back exec chairs is probably out! This is my current chair.

That's the last time I buy a chair without trying it first!

    Any help will be appreciated.

I'm sitting on a metal folding chair with a small cushion that's built in. Consider yourself lucky.

I'm sitting in an old black, cloth office chair with a raised back that was tossed into a dumpster. Surprisingly its a good chair provided you don't lean too far back

As for chair buying I recommend you just try various chairs at the store or in your house and plot from there.

Any help is much appreciated, especially if any of you own the chairs in question.

I'm sitting on a wooden chair which forces me to take a brake once in a while to ease my back!

I just use an inexpensive office chair. Cost me $40 I think a couple years back, it does the job for me. Padding could be a bit better but it serves its purpose and I have no complaints.

Those aeron chairs are insanely overpriced and if I had the desire to spend 1 grand on a chair I assure that it would be better than anything they have to offer (custom built to my specs). Then again I'm not one to pay for a name, but rather quality and personalized functionality. JMO.

Thanks a lot for your help, now I'll try and help you. I've found that if you put one (or two) cushions behind your back, it helps with the lower back issue. The cushions need to be reasonably firm, not those stupid flimsy ones. If using two, put them one on top of the other.

How do you find sitting in that chair for long periods?

As I say it does its job ok. The cushion/seat thing gets quite flat after a while but as yet I havent developed any chronic back or neck conditions. It may be a personal prference but i find it more comfortable to sit crosslegged on it than with feet on the floor.

As long as it doesn't stay flat, when you haven't sat on it for a few hours/a day? Because that's what my current one does, it goes flat and pretty much stays that way.
