    Default Wiping Vista out

I got 3 computers and one of them has Vista on it. I'm sick and tired of it, many things still don't work on it, like my printer and of course many old games refuses to play even in compatibility mode and let's not get into about the user account control crap, because that driven me nuts with many things I tried to do.

    so my questions is

If i format the vista off, is it still possible to re-load the previous XP I had?

The vista I used was an "upgrade" and I heard some horror stories that once you install vista, your XP key is no longer valid.

So what your saying is you want to effectively rewind your hard drive back to just before you installed Vista?

I once rolled back to XP from an upgraded version without any problem - didn't use Vista in between though, as the upgrade didn't work properly (being the reason for my rollback)...

If the upgrade fails (which it commonly does) you are given the option to roll back upon reboot, it literally takes a few minutes. If it is successful, you are screwed.

If I ever get Vista, it'll be by way a of a dual-boot, so I can fall back on XP if it all goes tits up!
