Default I was just wondering, about cavalry..

Does the "powerful charge" ability actually does something extra? I guess not, but I saw it in M2TW with some good cavalry and in this mod none of the cavalry units have this in their description. It's not like the cavalry is weaker or something? Also, some late period elite knights are weaker than knights you could already train. Can their armor be upgraded more? This was also the case in normal M2TW. I just wanted know this stuff. Thanks.

On the powerful charge, I believe it is there just to describe that the unit has a high charge rating. Highland Nobles have a charge of 9 and they have "powerful charge", simply because their rating is high, its not a special ability (I think its all a leftover from the original MTW where you couldn't see unit stats while in game and only had these little sentences to go by when making an army).
Unless I am mistaken Lusted toned down cavalry charges so you couldn't flatten heavy spearmen in a frontal charge, but becasue cavalry have a high mass they can still destroy swordsmen, axemen, archers, etc in frontal charges, and spears from the back/sides.

Knights in the Late Period seem weaker becasue they don't have shields (higher armor makes up for this somewhat). So they are better suited as shock cavalry to cause a rout. I don't think Late Period knights can get upgraded armor since they already have full plate for the most part.

most late period knights can be upgraded, but only once.

some knights come with full plate (no upgrade) and many come with half plate ( 1 upgrade).
