    Default Selling second hand components.

Are there any shops that will buy second hand parts? I don't do 'net transactions, so Ebay and friends are out!

most likely... though it would help if you tell us where you live... from your avatar, I would have to guess UK, but who knows?

A buddy of mine sold his computer to someone second hand... though I'm not sure how they found each other. You could probably go to some local computer store and ask. Otherwise you can always make some local adds in the newspaper or something, or on sites like Craigslist.

Yes, I live in London, UK. I don't do 'net transactions though.

Not to be combative, but why no net transactions? Not even the extremely free Craigslist?

Well, technically Craigslist isn't a "net" transaction... think of it as classified adds on the internet. Most of the time, the person buying will live close enough that the actual transaction will be in person. I did find my last guitar on Craigslist... but it was in a state quite far away from me... however I convinced the person to do an online transaction, and he shipped me the guitar. Most of the scams that happen on sites like Craigslist have to do with the Nigerian Letter scam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_fee_fraud), but as long as you ask enough questions, its easy to tell if the person is serious about the transaction or not. Either way though... you can still refuse to perform a 'net transaction and insist on only personal ones... there is no obligation. But if you want to sell it to a computer store, you should probably ask one thats near you.
