Is it possible?

To play the game while i download the patch, because the patch is so big and it seems like its going to take forever to download, and i dont want to wait to play. Or does downloading take up to much "juice" on my computer, which would not allow me to play.

Unless you want to play multiplayer, downloading something will have no effect on performance.

You can play it when it's downloading, but don't when it's installing.

yea, i played during download, and it seemed fine to me. i actually think installing the darn patch took longer than actually downloading it, plus it took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to extract files, because my winzip wasnt working.

sometimes you'll get corrupted DL but its like rolling the dice so meh

You must be really eager to play the game. The problem is that vanilla is so broken that almost unplayable, save yourself from getting frustrated and just wait.

but how do you know if the patch really worked?? If you did it a second time do you think it would affect the games operation??

If you go into the options screen and look at the top right corner it should say ver. 1.02 rainkloud roxors!!!

...Ok it doesn't say that last part but the 1.02 should be there.
