Well, As england I did better then i thought I could, in perhaps 20 or so turns I had taken most of Ireland and all of england and Scotland.. On hard difficulty too (not too easy...).
Problem was second I took out Scotland The 3 towns I had in france were attacked and despite taking out numerous French armys before falling, I in the end lost all of my french holdings. Since I only had 2 or so large armys on the northern parts of scotland and all my other armys acting as garrisons for the huge amount of citys I had (im using road to jerusalem).
Then it gets funny, the pope gets me to cease hostilities against france while france is free to continue attacking me till finally it is excommunicated. At that point I breathed a sigh of relief and got the surrounding countrys to declare war on France. Then a new pope gets in and allows france back in and gives me another forced ceasefire while france continues to attack me (meaning I can not to anything in the way of a meaningful counterattack).
I had gotten one town but was forced to leave it as 5 full stacked french armys surrounded it... Currently Im evacuating all my forces from europe... It feels alot like Dieppe![]()

...... even though I know once I get things back together I will likely take all of France I doubt it will be in the remaining lifetime of Sir William... in his mid late 50s (as i remember) He will die long before my counterattack.
Currently he is leading one very nice stacked army (for the age) on a crusade... I hope with any luck he can acheive one last great victory before he dies.
Any advice for me would be awesome, first time I ever needed any strategy wise.
Ive given thought to setting up a small kingdom with a few generals in and around the crusade for antioch if I manage to take the city.
