Is it worth it to start a new campaign, at this moment?

Hi there,

I was asking myself, will it be worth it to start a new campaign at this time?
You see, I've got myself a new PC since last week, so yesterday I installed Rome, to play mods again.

So here's my question:

I'd like to know if it's worth to start a new campaign, since the near release of RTR VII. Will it be released in the very near future that I can no way get even half the campaign finished?
Or should I just wait X days, playing other games / vanilla MP/C.B. ?

Let me know if theres already a release date set, so I can put my helmet on and run towards my flame-shelter as fast as I can..

My guess, you probably won't finish your campaign before we get out hands on WHATEVER TIC is.

RTR 7 will get done when its done. So that means it will either be a month from now or next year.

I would start your campaign because its going to be awhile still before its completed.

I would advice you to start a new campaign, but that doesn't mean it has to be affiliated with the release date (as there isn't any!).

Just start a new campaign and enjoy it as much as you can, then the release of whatever it may be will be there sooner than you expected

If you plan to start Platinum then a little advice is to choose the mod:switch version so when RTR 7 arrived you can install it in the same RTW-BI folder and play both alternatively without a new RTW-BI installation.

I would rather start a new campaign and enjoy it, than just wait on the release of RTR VII....whenever that is going to emerge out of its hole.

Btw, is there any mod for RTR Platinum 1.9 which gives you more Roman units? (I like the hollywood style Legionaries) Like the Roman Legion Mod Reloaded, but it was for RTR Gold I quess.

If you want the hollywood lorica segmentata, red cloaked legionnaires this really isn't the mod for you, as those are not realistic.

However, you could try 77BC, Which starts out with the Marian legions.

I didn't use the mod because it was buggy, but the skins are simply aswome. A bit of work though...

Those are accurate lorica segmentita, except for the sharp edges of the

segments (which were rounded), over-shortness of sword, and the fact that

it came into use much later
