Has anyone got a small mod that makes these bad boys available in the campaign?
I don't think there is one. But if you check out the modders are i'm quite sure you'll find the help you need to add the unit into the campaign yourself. I knew how to do so in Rome but i'm not sure if it is the same in Medieval 2.
When you do put them in make sure you give them the ap trait on their primary weapon. Otherwise they're crapola.

Stainless Steel is a great mod from what I've heard but if you just want the DGK in the game what you'll need is to access a file called export_descr_unit. You can get this by using something called the unpacking tool which, if you are using 1.2, you already have. Then you need to unpack the files which btw are like 7 gigs so be ready. You need to create a batch file which you can find the directions to by doing a search of the forums. You also need edit the actual file which is just a text file. Under the line primary attributes (or something like that) just change it from "no" to "ap" This will give them armour piercing which puts them on par with other two hand units out there.
