Ya know if you are going to reference a thread in a post then at least put a link.
Secondly you only waited a couple of hours before posting in a new thread, on a normal business day. Some of us have things to do besides sit around a forum and wait for someone to ask for help, we do this on OUR time, not yours. I damn near didnt respond at all because of the title of this and the other thread, demanding something NOW doesnt get you very far.
Now to your problem. If you think its a resolution issue, did you try changing the resolution?? Try running on lower settings first, and see what happens.
There have been some compatibility issues with that card and Vista/DirectX10. Do you have DirectX9 installed as well? Were the proper drivers installed?
That card sucks a LOT of power, how big is your power supply? It also producces a LOT of heat so you might want a few extra case fans.
There is also a quite extensive thread about that card right here on twcenter, read it.

Hi I don't know why but I couldn't post a new thread but I have a problem with installing MTW2 for some reason I insert the disk and my computer doesn't even read the CD does anyone know why or how to get around this? It reads other disks and other games but for some reason it wont read this game. we just put a new video card in our computer and more ram as well so i don't know what the problem could be can anyone help me please? It would be greatly appreciatedI know I posted this in another thread but I really want this stinkin thing to work for my husband..... and this is a PLEASE HELP thread so can anyone help me? I can't find anything online to help me either why would this be happening?
HEH this happened to me when I bought the game, check disk but also check the drivers for your DVD-rom drive, if they are not up to date that might be it, Remeber this is a DVD-rom game, it won't work in CD-rom drive. If your DVD-rom drive is very old you moight have to buy a new one. Hope this helps!![]()

Did you check to see if the CD was clean? If it has too many scratches/smudges, it's likely that the computer won't be able to read it.
no it's not that it's brand spankin new out of the box someone mentioned a dvd drive and to be honest I don't think we do can anyone now tell me what I would need to look for in a dvd-rom?cause you go to a computer store and ask for a basic dvd-rom and they said $200 but you look them up online and they are only about $30 why the big difference? Thank you
Emperor you need to install DirectX 9 if you are using M2TW on Vista b/c Dx 10 is not backward compatable despite what MS says.

@nebuchadnezzar
I have DX 10 w/ vista (DX9 Card) and it runs just fine.
Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum
I don't think directX 10 is the problem. Before I installed Nvidia 8800 GTX, I had ATI Radeon Express 200 and with directX 10. It was working before, but the preformence gave anger. Why should uninstall DirectX10 to DirectX9?
Maybe I need more power to make the graphic card stable. Other games worked perfectly. Because they don't suck more memory only Medieval 2 Total War, sucks more memory. I even changed the memory from 1GB to 2GB.
Nobody said anything about uninstalling DX10. lol
DX9 is required to run the game. It adds some missing files is all. You can have both with vista. Most people can't run the game without DX9

I will try.
I hate to say it, but it worked for a about 5 minutes I played the battle. It was fantastic, why always me?
By the way, I installed DirectX 9 and nothing changed in dxdiag. Is still in directx10. Now, what should I do? Help me. But the campiagn works fine. I played every single pc game and they worked perfectly. Even Rome Total Gold Edition and Alexander. In High Quality. I think the problem is the power, but please. I almost tried everything. I can't get in the site, also. It says blocked Site. I hate u.a.e ****ing policy.

This is an emergency, the person who gave me ideas to repair my 8800 GTX crash problem. Will, be rewarded.
Nothing will change and it still should show up as DX10 in Vista, even if you install 9. It only adds a couple of missing files. I dont want to have to say this again.
So you managed to play 5 minutes into a battle before CTD? Better than 5 secs I suppose.
Do you have the latest nvidia drivers? If so are they the correct ones.
Do you have the latest sound drivers? If so are they the correct ones.
Whats your Power supply rating b/c you need 450 watt min and 550 watt preferred to run your card but if its taking 5 minutes to CTD it most probably means PSU or overheating so check that you have the auxillary power connected for the Video card and that all fans are working. Also check to see your CPU isn't overheating.
EDIT
Also on the other post you say you added more memory. How many sticks and are they all the same speed b/c if they're not it might cause CTD.
