Im just guessing, but if they do another expansion, To keep us occupied until Empire is out, what will it cover, what features and factions etc

"It's not always possible to do what we want to do, but it's important to believe in something before you actually do it"
It'll be a mini-expansion like Alexander was, it'll involve someone in history and his story played out on historical battles and a campaign.
just like kingdoms i think reconquista and 100 years war
the 100 years war would be cool
Well if they did another epic 4 campaign add on, then not too sure. Doubt they'd go past the Spanish exploration with E:TW coming out.
Some things i'd think of:
The Great Schism - Maybe a re-do of the Campaign map or an enlarged area where The Eastern Orthodox fights the Roman Catholic Faith.
Protestant Reformation - Same style as Great Schism, but Roman Catholics fighting the various Protestant groups. I can see it being interesting here as they could allow the various nations that are Protestant factions to work together or not due to the various Protestant groups.
100 years war - Not sure about this one, probably a mostly enlarged area of France. Don't see much to do here as it's simply two factions.
Iberian Peninsula - An enlarged map of the area as Portugal, Aragon, Castile, The Moors, and maybe some other small factions fight to control the Peninsula. I can see where, like Lithuania, Aragon and Castile could unite to make Spain giving them special units, but maybe losing something. Not sure, but it'd be pretty epic.
Germanian control - Not sure if i'm up to date with my history here, but assuming that Germany consisted of smaller city-states(can't find a better word), then many small factions in the area could attempt to control all of Germany. I could see a Vasaal system working well here or maybe a unification system as trying to unite all Germany. Might be too basic, not sure.
Italy control - I could see this working like Germany with the fact that Italy wasn't fully controlled. Might be too broad though, I know little about Italys history in Medieval Times.
Carolingian Era - Again, my knowledge in this section may be preschool and the fact that it's before MII by a tad bit, but I can see where this would work decent as it's a transition b/w Rome TW and Medieval TW. But it was to an extent intense as the era, to an extent, saved Christiandom and what not. You could stop Islams spread in the battle of Tours, seek for Papal state favor as the Franks or the remnants of the Roman Empire. Could include Byzantines too with the Great Schism, and the break up of the Frankish empire to France and Germany. It's kind of basic, might've been in RTW, and probably not unique units out of it.
Anyways, there's me throwing at a bunch of garbage, congratulations if you read it. =)
It would be nice to have a two expansions but considering the alexander expansion was hated by allot of people, I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt make one.

its most unlikely that there will be a 2nd med 2 expansion because of Empire:Total war. but if a 2nd expansion was released, then i think 1 of the campaigns would be:
1.The Italian wars/"the great wars of Italy"
2.The Norman Conquest of England.
3. A more Advanced version of the Reconquista
4.All 10 Crusades in the Historic battles (RIP Fredrick Barbarrossa Your story is so sad
5. and my last Campaign The Fall of Byzantine (also they will have some Western Europe Units because i think their units Suck with a capital S.)
and i would call the expanion
Medieval 2: Total War- The Fall Of Kings
