    System specs?

Start troubleshooting by checkning if you have the latest drivers for your graphics card...

Does it happen right away (once the level has loaded and you start playing) or does it happen after 5-10 minutes? Does this also happen in any other games or is it exclusive to Fear?

Its either overheating or really bad driver.

From the start (even in the films) and I downloaded and installed a new driver but still the same problem, happens in some games (not total war games, counter strike, half life 2, oblivion...) i got 2 gb ram and a dual intel processor (2 times 3.00GHz).
And if I let the game chose my settings i always picks high and maxiumum quality so ??

If its overheating what can I do about it ?

Open your case and see if there's dust in there, if so get a can of compressed air or use an air compressor to blow the dust off/out.

Get yourself an air duster (a can of compressed air) and blow all the dust out from your video cards fan and heatsink. Get a fan (most new cases have a 120mm fan placement) and place at the back of case (making sure its sucking air out from your case not sucking it in), this will lower the overall case temperature.

You could try checking to see if there are any patches available for the game which may fix this sort of thing.

Otherwise i would reinstall your video drivers making sure to run drivercleaner after you first uninstall them. This will remove any trace of the previous ones so you can be sure you're getting a clean install.

Contact fear support. They should know how to solve this. Come to think of it, I bought fear, but I got an error message on start-up and I contacted fear support, but nothing they said helped so I just had to give the game back to the store and get my money back. They are still worth a try though.

You need to Uninstall your driver before you reinstall it. Otherwise something might go wrong.

Im gonna wait with all the cleaning and install patches first, theres like 8 of them ! I think I installed the drivers correcly though...

When I turn shadows off its a bit better (can turn all the rest to maximum and the game runs pretty smootly but theres still those weird squares :p )

    Those patches are huge !!
