    Default Medieval 2 total war installation problem PLZ HELP

    I have no clue whats wrong
    even if you can tell me the problem or where i can find help

    New computer heres specs
    intel core 2 cpu
    2.00 GHz
    1.98 of ram
    Ati Radeon sapphire X1650 pro video card

    im pretty sure it surpasses system requirements

    everytime i go to install it goes to the first screen and i press install
    then it goes error The 'setup.exe' cannot be located please switch disks
    while at the same time my AVG anti virus comes up and says warning setup.exe file trogen generic downloader or something and i click ignore

    so i switched disks and it doesnt even go to the install screen

    IM SO CONFUSED PLEASE HELP ME

    I am also getting this problem. Had the game running fine yesterday but ive just reformated my PC and now its giveing me this error, and im also getting the AVG trojan horse popup (thought that seems to be AVG releaseing an update that complains about all Instal .Exe files)

    Disconnect from the internet, disable AVG, and run the install process.

    It says 'disable virus scanners' for a reason

    Hi I don't know why but I couldn't post a new thread but I have a problem with installing MTW2 for some reason I insert the disk and my computer doesn't even read the CD does anyone know why or how to get around this? It reads other disks and other games but for some reason it wont read this game. we just put a new video card in our computer and more ram as well so i don't know what the problem could be can anyone help me please? It would be greatly appreciated

    Do you have a DVD drive, not just a CD drive?

    I guess not. best buy quoted me $200 for a dvd-rom and when I looked them up online they were only around $30 why the big jump in price can anyone tell me what kind of dvd-rom I would need and a good place to find one? Thank you.

    Thank you for the help we found one for about $35 at a local computer store and we installed the dvd-rom and my husband loves the game again thank you for your help
