When you go to the Americas, how much of it is available to conquer?

I heard someone mention Cuba, can you go to the Caribbean? How much of the Americas is there?

Cuba, Florida, a small piece thats supposed to be Brazil, and a jumble of cities on a strip of land representing Mexico.

Some nice trade resources but really the only reason to make the trip is the challenge of fighting the Aztecs.

Hit the ~ key and type "toggle_fow" and scroll west to see exactly what's there.

Alternately the Americas Campaign for the Kingdoms expansion pack seems to be pretty large based on the pictures. Runs from Cuba in the east to Baja in the west and from Honduras in the south to the Southern US in the North. Looks like it has 6 native factions and the Spanish. You might want to check it out as soon as it's released if you're interested the western hemisphere.

There are six provinces for the taking.

The map that came with the game has them laid out fairly distant from one another, but ingame they are slightly closer, to me anyways.

Yeah, the gold isn't better than timbuktu, so unless you already have merchants on all the gold and ivory down there, there's no need to send them to America.

Actually there is! And you can feed it too the troops. That all make them transform into giant apes called "Oozaru" who eat all the bananas in the jungle clearing it, so that your heavier troops can pass. it's nice, you'll just wait and see

Finally someone agrees with me CA clearly hates the Oozaru what else could explain their best unit the one legged giant. CA clearly want the Oozaru to be easy beats which is so historically inaccurate that its not funny.

I'm pretty sure all factions can. I think all a faction needs is a corsair and then they can sail to America. I haven't gotten that far in the game but yeh i read about it.

Soma factions don't have adequate ships in vanilla. You can still hire a mercenary ship and sail though.
